I think the Lutz comment was said tounge in cheek. 3G can out coach Lutz.

I also think that Lutz is a better journalist than 3G although I'm not positive.

There were several comments that in a nutshell said "we need to do a better job coaching".

We have the right coach for the job. He will get us where we want to go....soon

There sure is a lot of bickering and whining on this board.

IMO, unless you (not you moshock) listened to the show last night (or the pod cast), you probably shouldn’t be commenting on what HCGM supposedly said. Although coach does have an obvious conflict with Lutz, he did have the respect to correct the caller with the proper pronunciation of Lutz (Lootz). Coach’s comments were specifically addressing a caller’s question about a column written by Lutz after the loss. I guess Lutz had praised our depth all year and then changed his tune in the article. I haven’t read the article and could care less at this point. Although coach Marshall has faults like the rest of us, I like his candidness… he doesn’t sugarcoat his feelings or kiss anyone’s a$$.

I have no problem with Coach taking jabs at Lutz. Lutz can write whatever he feels and it goes in the Eagle. There is little recourse to counterpoint and debate what Lutz writes. If you try to debate the facts with Lutz on the Bruce and Bob Pony Show, you get cut-off and/or called a dope. Bob IS thin-skinned and doesn't take public criticism well, neither does Marshall. Marshall's public forum is the Coach's Show and if he feels the need to address what Lutz wrote, no harm done. The bickering is a somewhat petty from both sides for two grown men, but has some entertainment value.

Just my point of view.

Yes, we had a terrible season and coach should have heard about it. We finished alone in second place in the Valley by one game out of first, swept CU, swept Bradley three games (first time that's ever happened), beat the third place team two out of three times, won a record number of conference road games, pounded Northern Iowa at their place...yes the season was terrible. Bring back the Cohen, Thompson, Smithson or Turgeon days...please!

Our cupboard was freakin bare when Marshall got here and in his second year we were in the post season. Years three and four we're in the NIT. If he says we'll be in the NCAA. Best defensive team in the Valley, most athletic team in the Valley, best behaved kids in the Valley. But we totally suck. What other coach in the Valley would you want? Go renew your Jayhawk fan club membership.
