Day 2 Thoughts from the Lou

I heard that the band director this year does not believe that tubas belong in a pep band. The guy that played the tuba for the band last year had to get a different instrument so he could continue playing this year.

Well, he's the only one in America then....that kind of thought process seems all too typical amongst professional teachers.

Don't get me wrong, they are a talented bunch and I enjoy what they do for the fans....it's just not possible to be as good without that instrument in an environment like an arena. It may be great in the studio, but we don't play in the studio.

Anyway I done about that. I'm off to day 2 at the Scottrade. I hope the floor doesn't come apart today, or there is a big leak in the roof.

Really Scottrade Center? Your going to threaten to kick anyone out who throws up the Shocker!? All because other teams said it was offensive? Thats some bs

Another reason to move this show to KC or at least give them competition so they know they're is a choice.

Yea, I saw a minor confrontation between two of our students and an usher that looked like "The Big Shows" shorter brother. Our students were attempting to show him how to make the "W." The usher didn't seem to have an IQ high enought to get it. I later saw a "blue shirt" come down to the two students and have a discussion. So you all know how sharp I am in deductive reasoning ( ). It appears Creighton had something to do with rating them out. Oh well, my guess is Scottrade will have to deal with the "W" for a couple more days...deal with it!

Thats why we kept throwing the Shocker. They can't kick 2500 of us out or however many people there are.
