If you are referring to the charge on Hatch, I agree. I thought the defender was directly under the net.

    • Throwing the ball to or at an opposing player is an automatic T in the rules, no matter how soft or hard the throw is. I've seen it called twice this year on Arizona players. Both were soft throws.

At one point, Murry was 0-6.

        Murry ended up at 1-7.

In the last four games, Murry is shooting 5-32 or 15.6%.

        • As much promise as he showed his freshman year it's perplexing to figure out what happened to him.

I wish he'd stop shooting, or more importantly, the coach would tell him to stop shooting. He is essentially turning the ball over at least 5 or 6 times a game just in baskets that have no chance at all of going in.

Well said, fan, and congratulations on keeping your wits about you. A four possession lead against a weak, overmatched opponent with 1:40 to go, and our glorious board was in a state of panic, with various posters volunteering to outcoach Marshall, who obviously has no idea what to do in such a situation.

                  • Murry

Amazing, Ricky: 5-32 can't even be easy to do.

In one sense, it's easy to agree that Murry should stop shooting. But he also can't break his slump without taking shots. So let's just hope they're good ones and that he reverts to normal. I don't think a basketball player can get the Steve Blass disease.

Your ignorance of the game basketball is amazing.

Speaking of predictability, I can count on you after the W's, but once the L's start rolling out, you're mysteriously absent. Never fails.

What is "normal" for Murry? If you're talking about his freshman statistics, you're fooling yourself.

No offense, but I hope we can get some fans that can accept the talents some of the players bring to the floor without questioning why in the hell they aren't the next Larry Bird, Antoine Carr, Xavier McDaniel or Michael Jordan.

All Garrett did was score 16, pull down 5-8 boards, give a great assist to end the first half (and essentially the game), play very good defense and be a team leader.

I guess it's just a flying flipping shame he didn't dunk the ball as hard as you and a few hundred other Shocker fans wanted.

Do we have to beat a team 87-5 to impress some of you? (Of course the "5" would have to be surrendered only with walk-ons in the game.)

                          • Tonight, Stutz was a breath of fresh air. I was hoping JT would draw fouls inside and dominate. Instead, JT received 2 early fouls. While we need our 1st Team MVC leader on the floor, Stutz, who made the All Tourney team last Season, came in and did a great job. I was wishing we would have got Stutz the ball more because he was working harder than ever to receive the rock tonight. Credit also goes to Kyles and Gabe who gave us some serious energy and a big lift tonight as well.
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

                            • Its almost like he played better because he didn't have to be looking over his shoulder in the first half. He knew he had to carry the load with Durley out with 2 fouls for the last 17 minutes of the first half. It always seems like when he makes a good play or two he gets some confidence and gets on a roll. It's going to be on his shoulders next year so maybe he'll have a monster senior year like Miller.

Good point, Doc. And, of course, the walk-ons couldn't be in too early -- maybe 85-0?
