$5 for a bottle of coke? Thank you sir, may I have another. They have a guy patting you down and doing a background check as you get in line so as not to waste time when you get to order and realize your credit isn't good enough.
Isn't that a good thing? Doesn't that mean the Valley Tournament is "Big Time"?

Or is it that the Valley has fallen so far, the stadium and the vendors don't make any money unless they gouge the fans that are there, leading to less business and more gouging?

I would just like to see us play consistent, good basketball to include sharp passing, rebounding, driving to the hoop, making the wide open crip before it can be blocked, and shooting well from 6-10 feet, three point range, and from the foul line.

If we can't accomplish most of these against Bradley, any future success is certainly in doubt.

Warren took a lot of shots to get his points. Simms-Edwards was solid but they're down a big. No reason, no reason not to win by double figures.

By 8:00 tonight there will be no more Illinois schools. Unless, GO SIU.
Where oh where is our T. Boone Pickens.

Listening to Bruce and Bob. They seem to think that the outcome of the Bradley game is a forgone conclusion. That is exactly the same tune they sang before our SIU home debacle.

              Huh?

Good heavens, Mr Shocker -- you're scared of Bradley? Could you kindly tell us why?

More so, if we can't do those things, we don't deserve to be in the big dance anyway, and it's all moot.

It's put up, or shut up time for the team. Most of us think they have what it takes to run the table in St. Louis--the talent, the depth, the skill. Now we'll find out if they have the heart of a champion. If not, I predict a ho-hum NIT run.

I love Koch Arena like the rest of us, but I don't want to watch another basketball game there until Nov. 2011.

Shocker fans should not be scared of anybody. However, they should not take any game for granted either.

Shocks lose to SIU in Koch Arena -- need I say more.

Bradley actually playing its best basketball of the season right now winning 6 of their last 9.

With Prosser out looks Bradley will out of necessity be playing a small line-up. Which team creates the biggest match-up problems will be a key factor.

That said, the Shocks would seem to have to have a sub-par game (which is certainly possible) to keep from advancing to the next round.

In the words of Dick Tomey the Shockers need to "play with their hair on fire."
