Not sure much of that, while true, would be constued as "between the lines".

-Quit whining about O'Rear, it happened to us last year and we didn't ***** and moan.
The big thing that Marshall hinted at is that the SIU game might have been a turning point. It sounds like the coaches challenged the guys over their play and toughness and by the sounds of it, they responded well. Hopefully this isn't a temporary fix, but something that lasts for the rest of the year.
Ignoring the coach aside, still doesn't explain the faulty game plan by the staff against SIU...oh well, I will let it go.

Some random thoughts.
With the exception of a a couple of ill-advised fouls, was this Joe's best defensive game as he was primarily on Anthony James and , and, in fact, was this his best overall game?
From my perspective I would have to say it was.
Also probably the best Hatch/Smith combo performance of the year.
I agree that D-Will looked pretty disinterested. And DK appears to be in full reversion to his old ways. HCGM has some work to do here as we could use both these youmg men palying well, especially DK. Garrett was also a non-factor but UNI's approach when he was in the game was clearly to have his man take him outside and either shoot over him or drive past him. Egelseder was a mutch better match up for Garrett.
I am very pleased with the win and the performance vs UNI. However, I am not as high as I was low after the SIU debacle. I think the only thing that will wipe that out is if the Shocks run the table.
Next up Evansville. Hope they do a white out.

It's frustrating for sure, for everyone, with DW. His talent is huge and we've all seen him succeed at a very high level but it appears that getting the "street" out of him is going to take a lot more work, and maybe it just can't be done.
I hear ya RDR......I hear ya.

Personally, their Supreme is THE best fast food sandwich of all time.
They take the time to slow roast it.....cooking all the fat out of it....so healthy and good.
It's not just fast food.....it's good, healthy food made quickly.

His 3, when the issue was in doubt, was a dagger.
The "chomp chomp chomp" I can hear from 4 states away is the crow eat-fest taking place right now.
Here's some tasty advice - use some Tabasco. That stuff makes anything taste better. 8)
Actually, that's some funny stuff. It certainly made me laugh. 8)Above all, make the right call.

Puzzle: A question, problem or contrivance designed for testing ingenuity.
Perplex: To make unable to grasp something clearly or to think logically and decisively about something.
My concern is it's getting too late in the season to still be up in the air on our PG. Yes, Rags had a quality game last night, but will it consistently carry forward?
It seems to be a safe conclusion as long as Toure doesn't shoot beyond about 10-feet, he looks comfortable and is effecive on offense.
Is the jury still out on the consequences to the oppoisition when the ball goes into the post? I would think last nights game was a perfect clinical case study to put that issue to bed. It helped that our 3-point specialist David Kyles was polishing the bench with his backside instead of jacking up 3 pointers left & right.
JT is becoming expert in either imposing his low-post moves or passing to the open man.
Gabe, the energizing bunny, just keeps playing like the beast he is.
AE is certainly one of our most efficient players. Has he perfected that 12-15 foot face-up jumper or what?
As much as I have critisized DK's 3-point shot selection, I praise Ben's ability to position himself properly, square up and shoot with confidence. And when he is not hitting the dagger 3's, he scores on put-backs, or is rewarded when he flashes to the basket. Please DK, watch film of Ben; it would be nice to have two players with that kind of athletic ability who know how to use it.
It was nice to see Hatch come back to life last night. We know, even when he is not "on" offensively, what we are getting every night.
Stutz is, and always will be, a matchup player. UNI is not a good matchup for him, as was also seen when he played 9 minutes and was scoreless in the game in Wichita.
D-Will is truly an enigma...he can't be explained. I think his window of opportunity and proving himself to this program is narrowing like a clotted artery.
They played focused, tough and with heart last night, but can this really be a trend going forward? I would like to believe it so, but past experience has me asking "is the glass half emtpy?" Come on Shocks, change my mind.

Being an out of towner, I only have the opportunity to watch a small fraction of the Shocker's games, but this is one of the finest and most complete games I have seen them play during the last ten years.
Kudos to the coaches and the entire team. Especially to our four seniors, JT, Blair, Ellis, and Hatch, whose aggressive and rugged play buried and completely neutralized the entire NI team. TM, Rags, and Smith and others certainly played and contributed as well.

As for DWill -- I've noticed he has been on mop up with the end of bench on more than one of our games. Who would you like for Coach to put in at point at the end of a blowout? Risk an injury to TM or JR when it is meaningless? I don't want to see Williams leave. As you say, he has a ton of talent. But he seems to play out of control a lot, throwing his body at the basket. I don't claim to know the answer to the puzzle of DW, but I sure hope Coach figures it out because I truly would like for Willaims to be a part of this team next year, but only if he is going to contribute like I thnk our coaches all thought he would.[/code]

He was fantastic down the stretch last year and in St. Louis and I think Murry will be playing more 2 with Kyles so I think that will open up a few more minutes.
