So, did Jay bring love for the little guys or defend the right of every BCS team to be in the tournament.
He defended the teams that deserved to be in the tournament, and went after the comittee on some of their decisions.

    I have respect for him.

He went after UAB and VCU saying they didn't deserve a bid, and he might be right about that.
I think UAB definitely deserved a bid. They won the regular season title in a top 10 conference and had several top 100 wins. They had a rpi of 31. Their biggest problem was that they only had one top 50 win.

When you compare their resume to other bubble teams with their poor rpis and many holes, UAB seemed very deserving to me.

Winning the regular season title in a top 10 conference combined with a very good rpi has to account for something.

Now, VCU on the other hand was a surprise to me.

      Boyle got SCREWED
Well, um, actually a pretty nice little Saturday, we're going to go to Home Depot. Yeah, buy some wallpaper, maybe get some flooring, stuff like that. Maybe Bed, Bath, and Beyond, I don't know, I don't know if we'll have enough time.

325 ranked Non-Conference Schedule - you shouldn't be rewarded for that.

I should have said USC or Clemson.

I totally agree with you there. Neither USC or Clemson should be in this tournament.

That has to be pure politics. USC even has 3 rpi 200+ losses.

Had they not lost to Iowa State, Oklahoma and powerhouse San Fransisco, they'd probably be in.

I agree with both the 325 ranked non-con schedule and the losses to Iowa St, Ou and USF.

Committee had a tough job; this is a weak field. But, no excuse for these decisions. The Big East officiating crew made better calls.
