Oh you don't want to get me started on Billy Madison quotes. This thread would be endless.

      • Good quote from tonight's coverage, “I think they should be a ranked team,” Lansing said. “I think about everyone of them has a positive assist-to-turnover ratio, and what that says is that Gregg Marshall is a hell of a coach.”

IMHO, if WSU plays like they did tonight at ISU, they certainly should be ranked. Unfortunately, the MSU and UNI games at home :-x

I suspect if we win the NCAA tournament we might, just might break into the top 25

              • When we outrebound our opponents, make most of our throws, and keep our turnovers to a mild roar, that is a recipe to wins.

Give that guy a job on ESPN. He can right a weekly web article & sounds like a better analyst than Vitale.

                  • Perhaps the most encouraging factor about this team is that there are several players whose offensive play ... in particular their shooting percentage ... can improve. Hatch, Murray, Kyles and Ragland have all struggled to consistently hit the outside shot for several games. I'm still waiting to see the consistent outside scoring we need from Joe. Williams has plenty of room to elevate his game. And while the team has improved in defending the high ball screen and dribble penetration, there is still room for improvement that I'm confident they will make.

                    • Welcome back to the lineup Mr. Williams, great to see you again!

                      • We need to bump from 25-30 good minutes a game from the team to 30-35 as we hit the homestretch of the season. And I agree with ShockCounselor in that we certainly have room to improve. If this team gets to truly firing on all cylinders, it could get really fun.

Good points and I am particularly mystified by Joe Ragland's shooting woes.

I watched him quite a bit last summer and could really fill it up. I realize the summer defenses are not great.

                          • Last night the Shox played the game they were told to play. This team went from an unremarkable jump shooting team to a team that went insided out. ISU refused to double the post and the Shox made them pay for it time and time again. The bigs actually looked like they were more than capable of carrying the scoring load and made shot after shot. Except for a couple of hiccups the Shox played a complete game. If they can bottle that receipe they can play with anyone.

                            • 3 point shooting was not good again last night - 5 for 17. That's too many 3 pointers, although I was glad to see DK not bomb away like he did last game. JT was 1 for 4, which was the worst individual effort, so I'm not terribly disappointed. I iknow our team is capable of better so its frustrating to see these kind of numbers.

                              • For those of us who have issues with our play on the offensive side of the ball, it's probably important to remember that it's always more difficult to run a killer offense once Valley play starts and everyone knows more or less what everyone else is trying to run.
