Sully must be a little punchy from the trip, with references to "Terredise" and "Ice-pocalypse" in his latest Shockwaves update:

Sure you can't make it? Sounds like they need a third official.

I don't want the team to be stuck there for a couple of days...I wonder if there is any thought to playing the game early, like the Bradley game today?

That thought crossed my mind as well. I just want to be made aware of is so I can plan a recording of said game so I can watch it after work. If they can get the game played and get them safely out of there before it gets too bad I'm all for it.

For CU the MVC would do anything. For WSU - forget it.

I guess when ISU(B) was planning the "White Out" this wasn't what they had in mind.

At this point I'm not sure it would make a lot of difference one way or the other. The ice is bearing down on Terre Haute and I doubt they would attempt to return this evening even if they did move the game up. The main thing right now is to make a safety first decision.

One of the big problems with icy weather is the chances of a power outage increases greatly. Hope that does not happen.

Per SPC a quarter inch of ice for Terra Haute every three hours is likely. They will probably get some snow on top of it as the system exits.

                  Not a good recipe.
The mountains are calling, and I must go.

Right now the band of ice that is hitting Terre Haute extends Southwest from Indianaplis all the way back to the west side of St. Louis and pretty much tracking a line from St. Louis to Indy. Nasty stuff. Hard to believe that power outages won't be an issue with that much ice. Weather wise not sure the Shocks could be in a worse situation.

For anyone stranded at home waiting for the Shockers. Here's the BU/CU game.
