I hope the Sports Department does not make any optimistic decisions about the flight to Terre Haute.

I think they have already left.

Taking off and flying in this kind of weather isn't difficult...its the landing part at the end of the flight that gets interesting. "If it doesn't have a hook on it I'm not flying it." Anon.

They had to fly to evansville. Arrived safely.

Then they took a bus to (2 hour ride) Terre Haute. Not sure if they've arrived yet. Should be soon, if not now.

No classes at InST today, maybe the arena won't be packed tonight.

I heard that penn state had to divert to evansville and bus to champagne ill to play some school. Does evansville have really good flying facilities or does terre haute and champagne have just marginal facilities?

I've attended this game 24 of the last 25 years.

It looks like the streak will end today.

It's an ice pond all the way across Indiana and just isn't worth it tonight. 8)

Getting back home may be tougher than getting there. I could see them stuck a day or two in Terre Haute before returning.

Good choice. I assume you mean all the way across Illinois. Doesn't look like the weather has hit Terre Haute yet, but it is closing in and looks like the will get the ice and wintry mix first starting about 2:00 CST this afternoon. Looks like they may get about 12 hours of icy precip before it changes over to snow early tomorrow AM. That will be worse than what we have.

" a day or two in Terre Haute"....isn't that sometimes what's used as a prison sentence?

                            Pogo & 1972,
                            Appreciate your concern.

Actually, it is across Indiana as I live east of Terre Haute.

And yes, getting stuck in Terre Haute for an extended period of time equates to a prison sentence.

If you've been there, no further explanation is needed. 8)

With the icy weather that is being forecasted I hope there won't be any issues with power outages.
