Honestly the best thing about the last two games is the reaction of the players. We may be in bad moods after loss after loss, but think about how it must affect those guys on the field. It was so great to see the guys happy again. Running with energy and passion and excited to play. Loved the happiness by the guys. That picture on the front of the sports page on Wednesday says it all to me.

Hopefully the good times will keep rolling!

Forgive me if I don't pee down my leg in excitement from these past two games. Yes, we beat two below average teams from the big 12 on our home field (OSU being in last place)....after a sub-par weekend against a bad SJSU team. This weekend will tell me alot more than these past two games.

You're one of the people who boo our players, aren't you?

Way to make that giant leap DB. I'm happy they won, hopefully this will light a fire under them and they'll enjoy going out competing each game from now on. I just get sick of some of these sunshine pumpers who think after each win we've turned the corner.

True, these two wins are only meaningful for the fans who love to hand it to KU and OSU if they stink it up in Normal this weekend. All of it would be a waste as far as team goals are concerned.

              It's championship weekend.

I don't know that anyone should read so much that the last games establish a trend but hopefully the line is up.

As for the OSU game not meaning much, wasn't the pitcher that our team got to one of their best weekend starters? I

t would be nice to see several of our hitters get hot at the same time. They (our hitters) did seem to battle and extend a lot of counts with foul balls, etc, until something good happened the past two games.

That is a solid point. OSU is at the bottom of the Big 12 and will likely miss the conference tournament. KU is in similar position and just got done giving up 30+ runs in 2 games to a bad Texas Tech team last weekend.

It's nice to win some midweek games, but it'll be more telling what we do this weekend if you're looking for a "trend".

I think we're all in agreement that this weekend means everything. If we sweep, the bandwagon is going to swell rapidly. If we take 2 out of 3, we're still in the hunt for the league title. Losing twice or getting swept puts us right back where we were at this time last year.

                    No pressure :D

Wake up on the wrong side of the bed this morning?

22 is the most runs we have EVER scored against Ku. 15 runs ties the biggest winning margin EVER against Ku. The best Shocker teams in history didn't beat what was usually a much weaker ku team worse than this year's team did on Tuesday. We didn't just beat them, we beat them badly.

Ku is 58 in the latest warren nolan rpi. Boyd's World's needs assessment says they need to go 8-5 to get an at-large bid. It is one of the BEST KU TEAMS EVER (of course that isn't saying a lot). And we whooped them badly!

And they are better than any team left on our schedule. Point is, if we can beat up these 2 big 12 teams, we should be able to beat every team left on our schedule. 13-1 and 12-2 at least should be very doable (although I would definitely take 14-0).

Every Shocker fan should be very excited about these two blow out wins!

Now on to Friday, and time to beat the redbirds.

I will feel like we have gotten somewhat well with a sweep of the funny red flyers.
