That is unbeliveable and completely unacceptable considering how much help college athletes have if they just ask. Hopefully Flynn will get his act together and use this as a learning experience to better himself both in the classroom and on the pitcher's mound.Comment

I was surprised to read that was the 1st time in 33 years that a Shocker baseball player was academically ineligible. That is pretty impressive.
I'm sure it's the answer to a future trivia question that Brian won't be proud of. Hopefully he can get back on track.
As far as a redshirt year goes, yes it has the same effect as redshirting. You have 5 years to complete your 4 years of eligibility. However, it also means Brian will probably be draft eligible due to his age at the end of his sophomore season next year. If he is not that interested in school it might not take a very high draft to entice him to move on.Comment
