I just heard that the turf installation will begin tomorrow at the Eck ... and... you can watch it go in with the Eck Stadium Live Cam they've added to the previously linked photos page.

I got the same feeling. The different colors make the outfield look tilted or something. Wierd.

If I interpret what I see correctly in the still photo gallery, it looks like the LF bullpen will be beyond the LF wall. Fun for those bleacher bums out there, since that will be the Shox bullpen now.

The video sure is "Must See TV". Like watching paint dry.

The web cam is currently showing the installation of the infield "dirt" turf, and it's a brown so dark it almost looks black. Goes really well with the Oklahoma red clay pitchers mound.

Gee, that looks natural. Lots of real dirt infields with fill brought in from a lava field.

We just can't do anything 'normal' can we?

I just went by there about 15 minutes ago, while out running some errands. The color in real life is just about the same as what you see in the web cam. It's not making it appear any darker than it really is, it's just actually THAT dark. Looks like somebody paved the infield base paths.

Something has GOT to be in error, or so I hope.
