Selection Committee Member Pat Murphy

Sorry to be repetitive.....but this deserves some individual discussion. The head baseball coach of a Division 1 program (to say nothing of a D1 powerhouse) is on the committee that selects D1 teams to compete for the National Championship.....

Am I the only one that sees something terribly wrong with this? Have I blown a gasket and read it wrong?


What would be said if Roy Williams was on the selection committee for basketball?


This is beyond obtuse. This makes Tim Weiser getting 8 Big 12 teams look even handed.

2. Oral Roberts
3. Cal Poly
4. Kent State


Cal Irvine has the #1 ranked team, the #13 ranked team, the best pitcher in the nation and the defending National Champions.

Sounds about right.

Imagine if the NFL draft happened in the middle of the bowl season or the NBA draft after Selection Sunday.
