I mentioned KUs stats earlier. Here is Missouri States:
MO ST has a rpi of 63 (Ku has a rpi of 53)
MO ST has a 11-9 road record (17-12 road & neutral- Ku is 12-18 in road & neutral games)
MO ST is 9-1 in last 10 games (ku is 4-6 in last 10 games)
MO ST is 6-7 vs. rpi top 50, 12-8 vs. rpi top 100 (ku is 18-19 vs. rpi top 100)
MOST Won Regular season Conference title, went 2-1 in conference tourney (ku finished in 5th place in the regular season in a much tougher conference but went 0-3 in the conference tourney).
MOST went 14-6 against the rpi 101-200, Ku went 3-3 against the rpi 101-200.
The committee could make a case either way for either one of them depending on what they want to emphasize.
Do you take a regular season conference champ that finished the season strong (9-1) or do you take a sixth team from the big 12 that finished the season weak (4-6 and 0-3 in conference tourney)?
They could take them both or leave them both out. My best guess is that ku is probably on the right side of the bubble and MO ST is probably on the wrong side.
For what it is worth, Baseball America has them both in.
MO ST would have a stronger case if the Valley had been stronger this year.
