Paper says KU pitcher Lee Ridenhour was taken out of Baylor game after giving up 3 runs in one inning with a fastball at 83. Arm trouble I hope not lets hope its the white pants.
First a Baseball fan then a Volleyball fan and then I guess I follow the basketball team.

Ridenhour, Kansas’ prized freshman arm, silenced the Shockers’ bats two months ago in Lawrence, and told reporters after the game that he had picked Kansas over the Shockers during his recruitment because Wichita State was a program on the decline.

“It was a hostile environment for him tonight,” coach Ritch Price said. “He ran his mouth a little bit in the newspaper the first time when he was really excited about his performance, but he’s grown up, he’s more mature.”

I'm sure he is mature enough not to whine while the Shocks play in the NCAA tourney.

Hovpen: What is wrong with mentioning Ridenhour's dumb comment about white pants?

If you think "we" should give him (Ridenhour) a break, please explain why you believe this.

The golden rule boys, the golden rule.

BTW, what makes you think KU won't be in the tournament?

Perhaps if you had said I hope it was the white pants and not arm trouble Hovpen would have understood it better. When I first read your second sentence I read "Arm trouble I hope".

Didn't they poop their pants at the Big 12 tourney?

Ridenhour made a very vry stupid comment after the first game.
It simply shows that he probably struggled with the decision to go to KU and he continues to talk himself into believing he made the right decision.

Actually I think that they will sneak into the tourney, but these would be the reasons they could be left out:

Warren Nolan rpi of 53 - Very bubbly
went 0-3 in the big 12 tourney.
4-6 in their last 10 games.
                          9-12 on the road
only 3-3 against teams with an rpi of 101-200.

The thing they have going for them is that they are 15-15 against the rpi top 50 (playing in a good BCS conference gives them many opportunities to get good wins). That gives them several quality wins and will probably be enough to get them in.

But they will have to sweat it out and if they don't make it the committee has plenty of good reasons to leave them out.

I have not kept up with how the other conference tournaments went down this year. But if there were several upsets, KU could get left out.

I think it'll come down to KU and MSU as being the last team in. I think they'll pick KU unfortunately.

I'm surprised you guys think Ku is on the bubble, one final projection I saw has them as a 3 seed, that is a big difference, I guess we will see tomarrow.
