How many possible new recruits who can hit are we going to have to pull in for next year to return to a decent offense? Is it doable?

There are more than enough positives with our starting rotation to think that we will be back with a vengeance next year.
IMO, this type of thing is at a minumum, risky, and possibly borders on just plain stupid. I truly can't believe that Kemnitz is buying into this.although the best things in life are free, upgrades are usually available

I've avoided posting here this season as I hate to see the Shocker fans so down on the team. Is this 'down year' a result of WSU signees opting to go pro? I know a few have over the last couple of years.
Then we ended up with a lot of injuries. I think Hall is still in the top 3 in stolen bases and he hasn't played for months.
Then the guys who we do have are struggling mightily. Dumb mental errors, bad approach to the plate, etc. Some of them would have seen the bench in the past but the roster is too thin to do that.

That's good to hear... would like to see the Shocks win the Valley tourney and sneak into the NCAAs just to get these youngsters some experience

welcome to .500 baseball....
tough night for the Shocks coming off the 13 inning heartbreaker last night... but we'll take it!
Good luck the rest of the way and...
:goshocks:At Ballard’s Sporting Goods in Aggieville, this season’s popular purple T-Shirt with the “Welcome to Huggieville” greeting had already been replaced with a newer line known as “Welcome to Traitorville.” “Welcome Back to Loserville” might be a more appropriate selection. - msnbc 4/7/07

Congrats on the sweep Jayhawks. I hope you do well in the NCAA's.
For any lurking Kitty fans... this is how you handle yourselves when coming onto an opposing message board. That's the difference between KU fans and Kitty fans. And that's why Kitty fans will always be seen as trash to me. They can go 2 n cue in their first regional ever as far as I'm concerned.
17 more days! :yahoo:Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

WSU has had players play on the royals in the past.
Otherwise, there's a reason for the off-topic forum. :good:Deuces Valley.

Thanks, KC. I'm a Jayhawker, but I'm also a native Wichitan. Not hard to pull for the hometown team, especially since I grew up a Shocker fan.
Some of the KU fans don't understand the hate over here, but at the end of the day, we're all Kansans. Rock Chalk! I've got your back in the phog
I hope you learn to hate the Tigers, living in KC... I've experienced first hand OU-UT, USC-UCLA, Cal-Stanford and others, but there's not a better rivalry between two schools/states/sets of fans anywhere than KU and MU.At Ballard’s Sporting Goods in Aggieville, this season’s popular purple T-Shirt with the “Welcome to Huggieville” greeting had already been replaced with a newer line known as “Welcome to Traitorville.” “Welcome Back to Loserville” might be a more appropriate selection. - msnbc 4/7/07
