Amazing... there are still shocker fans willing to defend this assault. Go 60 miles from WSU and try to find anyone who would condone this beanball that could have killed this kid, and did wreck his baseball future. Does anybody bother with facts anymore or do they just write whatever makes it sound good? I think these editorials should have disclaimers like movies "based on the actual events".

I always get a good laugh out the comments that this is what they coach at WSU. Well lets see... The same group has been at WSU 32 years and nothing like this happened in the 20+ years leading up to this event and nothing has happened in the 10 years since this event. Maybe it could be an unfortunate, isolated incident? No, that can't be... I think they coach this at WSU. :whistle:

I think BK said he teaches his pitchers to take control of the plate and not be afraid to pitch inside. If someone is crowding the plate they should challenge them or brush them back. He never said anything about throwing at people prior to the game. I hate how facts ruin a good story.
