I said it 2 years ago and I said it last year - this program needs new leadership to take it to the next level. In the past our talent got us to a higher level - but this coaching staff wasnt prepared to lose almost every starter from last year. I agree that most of these guys werent recruited to start - but with they have to be ready to step in. I, for one, think that the buck stops with the coach. I dont care about 6 game losing streaks - but how they are losing games makes me think that we need to go back to the basics. We need a new attitude - just because we are Wichita State - doesnt mean squat to most college baseball fans these days - 14 years without a college world series appearance - tells me that one 20-18 season isnt just the beginning of the problem. Go sit in the stadium and read the grandstand - if you think this program is even a shadow of its old self - you are crazy.
