1.) Kansas Aggie Tech U. is a joke.
2.) Kansas Aggie Tech U. hangs on the coat tails of the Big 12 in all athletics.

The fact of the matter is that while K-State might be in the Big XII, they are not in the same league of prestige or success as most other Big XII schools, and if not for their affiliation in the Big XII would be in the same league as a FHSU, PSU, or Emporia.

I'm not much of a fan of our holier-than-thou, inter-state B12 brethren, but this statement lacks a great deal of reality. Sure, no doubt K-State has coasted in the wake of the B12 big boats. But you're saying that if K-State wasn't in the B12 they'd be D2?

First of all, I am indeed a KU fan and a Shocker fan and a graduate of both schools. I think K-State is a joke - similar to a lower tier MOVAL team. Perhaps it is a stretch that they would be D2 as they already have an athletic infrastructure built off of the backs of their Big 8 (XII) members. However, without their long term affiliation in the Big 8 (XII) they probably would be a D2 team.
As noted earlier. WSU and KU have earned their athletic success. K-State hasn't. The ONLY thing going for them is their membership in the Big XII. OH... and they happened to beat the Shox yesterday. Now, let's see when K-State plays the Shox today if a broken clock really is accurate at least twice per day.

Your perspective is not objective in the slightest bit, and borders on the outlandish and irrational. No informed college sports fan, that I personally know, would say anything even remotely close to what is quoted above.

A little fun "hate" between our 3 schools is fine but to state that KSU is not worthy of Big XII membership and would b D2 without it is crazy. Kansas State was a charter member of the Big 6 and has been competitive through the Big 7, Big 8 and now the Big XII. The future is bright too - don't underestimate the amount of support and money the NBAF and the companies that will locate to Manhattan to be near it will bring to the University and athletics.

You are correct. I don't live in Kansas anymore and do not keep up with their school. It is only when they use their Big XII membership as a reason to demean WSU that I raise the flag of truth about their lack of contributions to the Big XII. There are plenty of people in Kansas who feel similar to me about K-State leaving the Big XII.
