Somebody in the know told me Cooper was a fantastic infielder in high school, better than anyone we have out there now.
Because Denny Crane says so Dammit!

Cooper is indeed a fantastic infielder as well as a hitter, but you can't risk an injury or his future as a pitcher. It just would not be a smart move. No sense in making a move like that imo.

MSU lost game 3 vs.ISU Red that helps.
First a Baseball fan then a Volleyball fan and then I guess I follow the basketball team.

Probably because of his mental errors that don't show up in the box score. Also, he doesn't seem to have the range as past 2b, so when he does make an error it is a pretty routine play.

Fans also might be a little more forgiving of his defense, but his 0.243 batting average and 0.355 slugging is just not going to get him much love.

Now there's some analysis. Gee, if only Gene had been clairvoyant enough to anticipate that. Of course, at the time he was probably thinking -- as who wasn't after the Shocks won the first game and had Cooper, who's been almost unhittable at home going in the nightcap -- that they were headed for 6-1. Silly Gene.

Gene did say on his show tonight that he wished they had only played one game (though it was probably much in jest).

He also said that he found out that there were players between games who went out on the hill. He was not to happy about it and couldn't understand the thinking and lack of leadership. I would assume that it ever happens again then the offending players will get to watch the games from the hill next year.

I seen the players go on the hill and was very suprised that was allowed to happen.Real lack of focus showed up big time in game 2.
