Good question, shockfan. The short answer is, because I'm not in charge of deciding who starts.

Dennis eluded to a pre-determined split, leaving coop and lowell fresh for the weekend, but with the game close Gene rode his horse all the way to the end.

Thanks to all the fair weather fans who stayed home and watched the game on tv, it's always fun being out numbered by the opposing team's fans on your home field and pulling out the "W".

              Bogus

Fresh for the weekend? Please, Shane.

If Cooper isn't fresh enough for Sunday's game against Illinois F State, for heavens' sake, coming back on four days rest after throwing 78 pitches tonight and not having to travel, I'll be very surprised indeed.

                That is embarrassing indeed.

Although I'm guessing the majority of the Big Red fans had no clue what a baseball was and we're probably having conversations amongst themselves about next fall.

The same thing happens when the K-State and KU fans come out to the Eck.
                Deuces Valley.
                ... No really, deuces.

                  You're welcome! :D

I was actually playing a little 'snuggie' with the Mrs.

I guess if that's more important that the Shocker game... My wife schedules everything around Shocker games, so I don't have that problem. We were talking about how a snuggie would have been nice at the game tonight, it was a little chilly.

                    • I hope it was not lost on anyone that Mitch came off the bench cold and started the eight inning rally with a solid single. I think he is pulling out of his slump that seems to have lasted all year.
First a Baseball fan then a Volleyball fan and then I guess I follow the basketball team.

The NU fans brought that on themselves. You don't go into another team's stadium and start your chants when the game is tied up. You only pull that when the game is in the deep freeze. Also, I always laugh when teams do their little football chants at baseball games.

So which section were you in? I was behind home plate, trying to help the ump get the calls right. :D

Don't worry too much about it. Just do all you can do and let the rough end drag.

The same section I'm always in...The Hill. My daughter likes to run around and play and high five the flag guys so regular seats don't work very well. Guess it was too cold for the Captain Morgan crew last night, but she still had fun.
