All I am saying if you are a very good coach. I dont care how athletic someone is. With good coaching a non athlete will get better year to year. If you have a kid in your program for 3 or for years and they are not better when they arrived. That is a coaching problem. I think the shockers have been lucky to recruit great players that didnt need coaching. Now they cant get those great players anymore. If you were a great player where would you go. To WSU where Gene is known for ranting and raving showing his players up when they do bad or would you rather go to a place where you will get quality coaching and not get yelled at all the time.

Oh, and in case you haven't been paying attention, WSU was within 1 game of the CWS in '08 and within 2 in '07.

Dang you must be Gene and Jt best friend. If I recall that in 07 because I was there. They could only muster a wopping 2 runs in 2 games. I just figured we had higher expectations for the shocker program. I guess we should just be glad that we almost got to the CWS. I could be wrong since I only have an IQ of a 4th grader. Since my Grammer is soooo bad let me see if I can add. Since 2003 the team batting average is only .305 Now there is something to write home about. Especially since they play in that tough conference The Missouri Valley. Maybe you have just become used to mediocraty. Bottom line Gene cannot recruit anymore and it is time for him to move on.

Dang my math is bad too. FSU gave up 23 runs in 2 games at the CWS.
