Baez triples to drive in a run. Baez 3 for 4 today I believe.

        TCU 9, WSU 4 2 out.

            A few bright spots.

            Baez 3 for 4
            McKeever 2 for 3

Charlie Lowell line was 6 IP, 6 H, 5 R, 4 ER, 3 BB, 6 K's to keep the shox in the game.

Chance Sossamon after giving up 3 hits, came back and struck out 2 to get out of major trouble (supposebly throwing in low 90's).

And that ain't gonna happen sorry to say. Some teams are just better than you, TCU being one of them.

KC yopur so smart you must win the lottery every time.
First a Baseball fan then a Volleyball fan and then I guess I follow the basketball team.

Baez needs to have about 6 rbi's a game to make up for all of the fly balls he let drop. Whats up with not covering 1st base on the bunt. A 10 year old can do that. I bet Kyle Sisney is kicking himself now. If he was here he would be starting. Baez doesn't know any of the sighns. Look for Brown to move to 2nd base and Grimes to play ss shortly. He's a good hitter. There is more to the game than hitting. He needs a wake up call.

What is "yopur" so smart.........I'm not the spelling Nazi but damn! If you are going to break me off with a 'so smart' rant, you better make sure you make yourself look smart as well.

Anyway, don't hate me that my season outlook prediction is 100 percent right thus far:

In the immortal words of Will Hunting, "How ya' like them apples". Although, the Shox have to pull out a win tomorrow to keep my perfect score in tact.

I don't think you can just single out 1 guy. Elliot and Shane Dennis were pretty critical on how the WSU approached the game. There was a lack of hustle and low baseball I.Q. all around - things that you can't chalk up to youth.

The pitching staff is in shambles once you get beyond 4 guys. Not a lot of consistent hitting going on. Just have to have hope these guys can find their way and start putting it together.

I'm just saying i agree 3 for 4 is nice but the rest of his game is horrible.
Maybe if he could catch a fly ball or know when to cover first the pitchers numbers might look better.

Welcome, Shocker Nation, to the land of suck.

Some days new guys will be good. Some days new guys will be bad. Early in the season I expect more bad than good. Later I expect to see improvement. As usual the bullpen mostly sucks.

There is no doubt the young starting pitchers are talented, but to expect perfection, or near-perfection every outing is unreasonable. On those bad days there has to be someone who can come in from the 'pen and stop the bleeding. Muncrief was able to do that vs. BYU until the Shox could mount a comeback, but he couldn't on Friday.

The bullpen-only guys have a pretty ugly stat line.
                          Code:
ERA W-L APP IP H R ER BB SO AB B/Avg WP HBP BK WHIP
                          6.319 2-3 21 31.1 40 27 22 10 35 131 .3053 1 6 1 1.5957
This doesn't include appearances by Flynn and Banwart in relief.

Time to see if the Shox are mad enough to salvage game 3 vs. TCU.
