Well, we couldn't break through with enough runs against TCU's starter who was coming into the game with a 7.00 era. With our bullpen questions, we are going to have to score more than 5 runs per game to win a game against these guys.
Today's TCU starter has a 6.75 era coming into the game. That means, as usual, the Shox will make him look like CY Young and we lose another. CL is going to have to be efficient and lights out. I'm hoping he can get into the 7th or 8th on only 80 pitches :D (yeah right).
This team, thus far, lacks the Dirtbag mentality as Gene describes the play in the Eagle's article this morning. They ain't gonna win games with a juggernaut offense, and our pitching will more likely keep us in the games. What is going to win games is the Shox's ability to play with heart and a dirtbag mentality. They are going to have to want it more than the other team, until they can figure that out, we are in trouble.
