I've got a good feeling right now. We had a great group of guys, on and off the field this year, being led by the stand-up examples of several upperclassmen. I think the younger ones will want to keep that atmoshpere going in the future. We didn't play "dirty," I don't care what anybody says, but we did have "heart." Last time I checked, one can't live without it. Karma is going to be SO SWEET.

On national television, 'Noles coach Mike Martin refused to shake hands with 'Canes coach Morris (I understand there's bad blood there) after the game and it was commented on by the announcer. But, couldn't he have at least shook hands with the 'Canes players? He didn't shake hands with Stephenson, either, as I recall. Wow. What a great example for the youth to follow! I don't know how the future Stephenson situation will play out, but my sincere wish is that it doesn't reflect badly on WSU, the students, or the fans. That remains my wish.....

My impression of MM was quite high after the pre-super press conference. It has since dramatically reversed after his actions towards GS in the supers, and now the reports out of Omaha.

He'll sooner or later be fired as a bitter, classless old man who could never really get over the hump in college baseball.

Good riddance MM, college baseball history will have no memory or record of you soon after your retirement to the glorious swamps and bogs of FL.

Morris and Martin haven't shook hands since 2004 after the Canes got caught in "spygate".

Ricky baby...you are a little bitter yourself, I guess losses do that...

Mike Martin will go on to be enrolled in the College Hall of Fame. True, that the Noles have only been runner up three times and never champ, but they have, for 20 seasons, had to get by mid tier teams like WSU to get to Omaha.

"Mid tier"? I really hate to be the one breaking this to you, but if WSU is a mid-tier program in college baseball, then FSU would most certainly be one as well.

Don't let the door hit you... well, you know how it goes.

Give MM our congrats for reaching the "College Hall of Fame" (whatever that is) and getting "enrolled" there (I guess it's a school).

This mid-tier program was able to beat the all might Mike Martin and the Florida State Seminoles twice and even eliminated them on the way to our National Championship, yes that says National Championship, trying winning one of those before calling us mid-tier. Like we have all said, you have a nice program and all but I will take our 1 National Championship over anything that you have thus far. Mike Martin even recalled flying over Rosenblatt Stadium on the way back home after we knock them out and seeing the Shockers playing in the National Championship game and now almost 20 years later he still has no idea what it feels like to win one, well Gene does and so do all of SHOCKER NATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Owe and FYI Gene will be in that Hall of Fame as well, and he will have a number next to section entitled NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS.

That comment there shows your total lack of baseball knowledge.

                  LOL...sorry guys. Reflexive action.

As an old Marine, I fire back on a back azimuth when there is incoming.

When you flame a guys team, expect a round or two. But that was sort of a spotter round.....

Mid tier teams are those that, every now and again, can move out of their tournaments and go to Omaha. They'll have a good year every now and then.

Top tier are guys like Arizona State, LSU. Texas...they beat the competition and get to Omaha often.

I wish WSU would become a mid-tier team per your definition.

Minus this year, when was the last time LSU did anything 'top-tier'? Hell, did they even make the tourney last year?

Gee, top-tier teams don't even have to make regionals to be called 'top-tier'. How funny..

                        Huh?

                        LSU won the National Championship in 1991, 1993, 1996, 1997, 2000...

LSU is in the Top 10 in CWS wins...

LSU has won five national championships since Arizona State (a recognized top tier team has won one)

LSU (and I see the cause for bitterness) put WSU out in two of the CWS final games in the early 90's. LSU is 5-0 in CWS championship games/

In 2001, LSU was one of three schools to hve gone three straight years to the Super Regionals (which started in '99)///LSU came out of their Regional again in 2004...

Most of the country sees LSU as one of the elite programs...
LSU might have been gone for a while...but they made it back this year...they have history, and it isn't all a decade old yet.

Guys, listen to billybud, whether he is right or wrong,( I think he is more right than wrong) this is a window to the perception of shocker baseball outside of wichita ks. We get no respect, and not because of any vendettas or biases just simply because we have not earned any in the last decade.
