    Mushrooms...well they are a fungus....

and yes I believe they were kidding but..you knew it was coming..

Mushrooms were never a large part of my diet. When the onset of hives started to appear, I initially believed it was an allergic reaction to a soap, shampoo, detergent etc., and never paid attention to what I was eating.

One night I went to a eating establishment and ordered gumbo. It contained rice, chicken, sausage, celery, peppers, and mushrooms. That night I broke out in the worst case of hives I had ever gotten. In fact, it was so bad I started to vomit and have stomach cramps. Obviously, a pretty bad reaction. Parts of my body started to swell, my left eye closed shut it was awful.

I knew it had to have been something I ate so I narrowed the list down to mushrooms or peppers. After this episode of hives cleared up I decided to test my theory. I ate a salad with red and green peppers in it and nothing happened. The next day, I ordered a pepperoni pizza with mushrooms and wham! I broke out in hives shortly after. Whallah! I found the culprit.

Since I've eliminated mushrooms from my diet 7 years ago, I've never had an episode of hives since. I asked the doc why this happened now because I've eaten mushrooms my whole life. The doc said as the body get's older and changes, a food allergy can just happen, there's no real answer for it - it just happens.

Holt will play. Talked to him yesterday and he said he was good to go. Warchant confirmed it this morning also.

Good luck this weekend Shockers. May the best team win.. and if you guys take it this weekend.. go get 'em in Omaha. Especially if you match up with the 'Canes. :D

This news ranks up there with the sun rising in the east this morning. Frankly I'm happy they will be at 100% so we get their best, no matter the outcome. I'm sick of hearing about Oliver down at OSU.

Good luck to FSU as well. You guys have been great all week. Here's to a special weekend.
