FSU leadoff hitter Holt may not be available against Wichita State
FSU freshman leadoff hitter Tyler Holt may not be availble for Friday's NCAA Super Regional baseball game against Wichita State.
FSU coach Mike Martin said this afternoon that Holt is in the Thagard Student Health Center getting treatment for a mysterious rash.
The rash started on Holt's torso and has spread to his arms and legs, Martin said.
"We don't know whether he'll play or not," Martin said.
Holt, a centerfielder batting .330, is one of three Seminoles to start all 63 games this season.
He provided a spark during Monday's regional championship-clinching win against Tulane, clubbing a team-leading five singles and scoring four runs in FSU's 16-7 victory.
