I am going to be so torn on this one.
First is the obvious choice: At home in front of my big screen TV, with Mike Kennedy in my ear. There is no way in hell I'm listening to whoever ESPN rolls out there.
This way I can pace, I don't have people bugging me, and I when the ol deep freeze opens up I can relax in the comfort of home. Plus, the beer is cheaper and there is no need for a DD. On the downside, if things go south it is my stuff that gets broken.
Second: A bar. But which Bar? I have always been favorable to Old Chicago. Probably some of the best bar food in the city. A great brew selection. Big no smoking sections and lots of TVs. I can sit in a booth and enjoy the game, and then when Dirks gets his big hit, there will be shocker fans around that I can high five like a big baboon.
Downside is the beer tab would have paid for gas to get to the game itself.
So how are the other shockerneters going to take this one? Also, don't even tell me you are going down there. I don't want to hear it from you Mr. I don't even have a real job and they don't care if I just go away for a Friday and plane tickets and hotel rooms and $4 gas ain't no thang. You can just go to your little game, alright?
What we have so far
Larry Buds, the old Cedar/Tanners - My pick of choice if I decide to leave my domicile. This should probably be your pick as well.
Buffalo Wild Wings on Rock Rd. for hot ASM action
KGSO is at Heros, $3.50 Coronas and Corona Light plus $3.00 Cuervo Margaritas. Gracias Chico
Fox and Hound will probably have some alumni folk as is normally the case.
