Impressive showing so far by the Shockers, should bode well for recruiting.

And speaking of recruiting, so far we have been lucky...

I heard he dropped from the 1st round because he sent a letter out to the big leagues clubs telling them not to draft him because he was going to college. Hopefully the Royals can talk him out of that, or it was a waste of a pick.

Yep, he wants top 20 money. Obviously the Royals knew that going in so they are either prepared to meet it or think he is bluffing.

It will cost the Royals at least 1.5 to sign him...unless he gets the home team discount.

That should be a no brainer for a potential #2 starter. A first round talent in the 4th round is a pretty valuable draft. Think of the riff raff teams pay $1.5 to at the big league level to round out a roster.

                    • A little bit different than offering a 4th rounder 1.5 million when the slotted money is around 150k.

                        • KWJ just went #180 in the 6th round to the White Sox.

Edit: Sorry TMH. You beat me to it!

As did I, but I am surprised by how high in the draft they did it, even with the situation being what it is.

                              • KWJ goes to (who else?) the ChiSox in the 6th round, pick #180.

That seem a tad high to anyone else?

Edit: Man you people are quick. :)
