    Agreed.

    Too many midweek eff-ups.

Couldn't win the big ones when it counted. If we had playing like this the last month of the season, it's a different story.

No way in hell we host.

I do however like our chances against most teams considering the status of our weekend starters.
    Deuces Valley.
    ... No really, deuces.

I don't think we host either, but wherever we go, we have a chance. Today was a reality check that we can't send our brains on vacation and expect to win, but we battled back and won an ugly one. I think our heads will be right next weekend.

Our RPI is 22 according to Warren Nolan. That's just below Texas and ahead of Long Beach State, Missouri, and UC Irvine among others.

        Warren Nolan's Nitty Gritty Report
Our only 'positive' is our record, but we also have no strong negatives. We have three losses to teams "we shouldn't have lost to," but so does LSU and Cal State Fullerton. The biggest blot is our record against the top 50 (6-9). Our inability to win a couple of our midweek games, especially in that stretch where we lost 6 midweek games in a row, really hurts.

I hope we go to Nebraska and take that Regional. I like us going in as underdogs.

From the NCAA website, looks like we should know something this afternoon.

The sixteen regional host sites for the 2006 Division I Baseball Championship will be announced exclusively on various ESPN broadcast platforms this Sunday, May 28. ESPNews will broadcast the announcement of the regional sites at approximately 3:30 p.m. (ET).

I await with baited breath! I'll be at Yankee stadium but around 3:30 I'll be refreshing here like a mad man.

Rosewood they are just announcing the 16 sights not the field.
First a Baseball fan then a Volleyball fan and then I guess I follow the basketball team.

It seems a little odd to me that they would do this announcement while conference tournaments are still being played, but I got that straight from ncaasports.org and the article was from Friday.

They know that even if a team like K-State makes a surprise run in the conference tournament there's no way they will ever host, so the outcomes today have little impact on who gets to host.

The used to announce regional hosts a week before they announce bracket. Think what that did for teams who knew they were hosting before they played their conference tournament.

How ever it will knock Texas down a bit and increase our SOS.

Nice amount of bandwagon purple fans there today.

So um I guess go Kitty State?

This is what some writer predicted for the tourney as of last night. Kind of interesting. Predictions are at the bottom.
