It basically talks about Bohm's upside being Kris Bryant and posing the question of which player would you want, given your team's current situation.

Enter the Cubs’ Kris Bryant and the Phillies’ Alec Bohm, two 6-foot-5 third basemen. Bryant has established himself as one of the best power hitters in the game through his five big-league seasons. Bohm is a consensus top 40 overall prospect in baseball. It’s a matter of when, not if, Bohm takes over the position for the Phillies.

Similar builds aside, their career paths mirror each other’s. Bryant, the No. 2 pick in 2013, and Bohm, the No. 3 pick in 2018, were polished, impact college bats and tracked to reach the majors two years after they were drafted.

So, who would you rather have? Bryant, the 28-year-old former National League MVP and one of the game’s best third basemen, or Bohm, the 23-year-old who is baseball’s top prospect at third base?

      • Do we have any of our players or recruits that may be drafted this year? I think that I know none of our players will be drafted in the 5 Rounds in 2020, but how about our recruits? Who may have the best chances?

If we have anyone drafted, we should probably begin a new thread.

        • Codi Heuer makes the White Sox 44 man roster to start training. Good luck Codi!

Alec Bohm on the Phillies 44 man roster.

          • I believe Sam Hilliard is on the Rockies 44-man roster as well.

            • Josh Smith is on the Reds active roster.

              • Cody Heuer got the save in his first appearance in Summer Training. Came on against the Cubs with 2 out in the 8th and the bases juiced in a 6-3 game and got a fly out; then worked a 1-2-3 9th with one K.

Alec Bohm is 0-2 so far, both in pinch hitting appearances. Phillies are at the Yankees at 5 p.m. today (July 20) on MLB Network. Bohm will almost certainly be optioned to Triple A when the season starts, but could be back up with the Major League team within a week.

Sam Hilliard could start in RF for the Rockies vs the Rangers on Tuesday July 21 on MLB Network. All-Star RF Charlie Blackmon, who had been injured, is back in the lineup, but may DH until he's 100 percent. Hilliard is also in the mix for DH once things get rolling and is the second option for all three OF positions.

                • It would appear that Alex's reason for not making the opening day roster is tied mostly to the FA clock. He should plenty of time at the big league level soon.

Haven't heard much regarding Grey this "spring".

                    • Sam is 1-2 so far in the 5th. He struck out his first AB, and added a hit his second AB.
