I believe the Pac 10 plays it's conference game series on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, so if they throw a starter tonight, he would be ready for the Monday conference game. Pretty smart.

Again, like the same ol' broken record, the Shox hitters suck it up. And again, they make a guy who for the entire year, had only pitched two innings coming into this game and had an ERA of 9.00 look like a 1st Team All-American.

Newman had 2 innings of work, had given up 3 hits, 2 walks, hit a batter and had an opponent batting average of .333 and we still can't hit against this guy.

I know Gene likes to go after pitchers in recruiting, but we really need to get some decent hitters too.
