One more interesting fact about last year vs. this year's team.

In 2007, the Shox lost 2 or 3 games in a row 7 different times. In 2008, it has thus far only happened 2 times (two 3-game losing streaks).

I do agree about all the 2007 vs. 2008 stuff, but the 2008 team does seem to be pretty resilient. There's a lot of chest bumping and high fives when things go well - this team seems to wear its emotions on its sleeves more than teams in recent memory. It can be a dangerous thing to play on too much emotion, but maybe that will be the 2008 team's legacy.

That obviously has no bearing on hosting regionals, but it may serve them well when they go on the road with a chip on their shoulders.

Exaggerations were patented by Coldblooded (RIP) on Shockernet. :good:
Why do you say RPI for Cold, what happened to him, I haven't seen him lately.
Buddy, you must have RPI on the brain... it's RIP. I'm not sure where he went, but it's been a couple of months since we've been blessed with his presence. Hmmm, dofo and Cold... Jekyll & Hyde?
      :D
Oh man :D I do, I do have RPI on the brain. My bad.

        One other interesting fact:

This season ain't over yet. There's a lot of baseball to be played. We're going to wind up with more than 40 wins again.

Put me in the camp that says we still have a chance at one of 16 sites.

My personal opinion, which is worth less than $.02 and more than $.01, is that IF the Shocks win out- regular season and MVC tourney- then we perhaps have a 50%/50% shot at backing into hosting a regional.

As for me, I'm not holding my breath, but then again I wasn't last year either and we somehow snatched the last host site available.
