Guac turns brown. It was still as good as chipolte guac could have ever been (that is to say it sucked as much today as it did last night)

    Weather: http://www.ksn.com/weather/weatherga...y/3826371.html

Yea, it is still going to be raining in Stillwater at 6:30. Hopefully we aren't pansies like OU and we at least make the trip and see if the game can't start late.

Also, tickets are available. Way to suck in that department shockernet.

I got my info from an OSU athletics site. I figured it was decently reliable info, since they are, in fact, OSU fans.

I also put this disclaimer in my post:

You might wanna call just in case, to actually confirm.
Maybe the reading comp is sucking.

And for the record, it won't be raining in Stillwater at first pitch. Everything died in Oklahoma and is less than sprinkles. The stuff from Texas may push in later, but the game will at least get started. That is a fact (unless something unpredictably develops outta nowhere).

you mean like the stuff starting to develop around OK City?

Maybe I'm trying to be too optimistic. I dunno.

But the radar Rosewood provided over-enhances everything a tad too much.

I usually get my radar view from an actual NWS site.

                  Pitching

Well, KC, unlike Husker Erik Bird, whose numbers had been excellent until his seven-run debacle in his last outing and were thus very deceptive, this guy has pitched enough that we can safely judge him to be acceptable, but not impressive. He doesn't strike out or walk that many, though -- only six walks in 32 IP -- so he may be one of those keep-em-guessing guys who all too often seem to be able to do just that against WSU.

By the way, the "strength of schedule" pieces of OSU's RPI are about to get a serious pounding. Their remaining games other than WSU include one good RPI game against Rice (32-10, 8th) and a series against OU (25-15, 42nd). But from there it definitely goes downhill: three games against Texas Tech (19-23, 82nd), three with KU (21-19, 124th), and then five RPI-killer non-league games. They have Western Illinois (9-21, 261st), and then four with Utah Valley State (!) -- kind of like the Chicago State series WSU had in May a few years ago -- which stands at 8-25, 264th. Those games are going to do some RPI damage even if they win all five.

                    Wow

Fever, you risk whatever credibility you have when you call the expectation of a future event based on weather a "fact." Surely by now you've lived here long enough to know that weather in this part of the country comes under the heading of, "I'll believe it when I see it."

How about nobody even talk about weather, give a radar link, or anything until 6:20... Just a thought but that seems to be about the only reliable way to determine weather at a particular time. Especially in the plains. just a thought. Or youre all welcome to bicker about weather all afternoon if you want for whatever reason you want for whatever purpose it would likely serve. Let me be clear I'M NOT TRYING TO BE AN INTERNET SHERIFF. Just tossing out a suggestion that anyone can take or leave.

I understand what your saying about RPI, however, playing those teams will not lower their RPI to our level. It won't lower it enough to eliminate them from the regional hosting equation. Besides, their 12-6 record against the Top 25 is very impressive and will be a large factor in determining if they host. We are 0-4 right now and only have a handful of games assumming we win all of them, to get that record to 2-4 (OSU and ASU) against the Top 25. ORU may crack the Top 25 by the time we play them, I know they are ranked 30th in some polls.

Our RPI will fall faster than OSU's from here on out simply based on our conference schedule, so the RPI situation is a wash.

I realize there's never fact involving weather. Perhaps you should have continued reading into the parenthesis:

That is a fact (unless something unpredictably develops outta nowhere).
I shouldn't have used the word 'fact', but you also should have continued reading my post.

I seem to recall that when I was in college (84-88), WSU played OSU, KSU and KU four times. Two times in each city, sometimes back to back. (Tues night in Wichita, Weds night in Stillwater)

                              Am I remembering that correctly?

I also remember that in either 87 or 88, the WSU-OSU game drew over 5,000, which was the first really big crowd at WSU.

Looks like Stillwater has avoided most of the rain so far today, although there is a batch of rain moving into OKC right now and heading for Stillwater.

May get this game in, but will probably have to dodge a few rain drops along the way.

Pretty similar stats between the starting pitchers:

Tim Kelley (RHP, 4-2, 3.94) vs. Matt Gardner (RHP, 4-2, 4.22)
