How about that game for Jacob Priday.

        5 for 5

        1 walk

        6 runs

        9 rbi's

        4 home runs

            Crow

And apparently Aaron Crow isn't untouchable after all. His ERA went from 0.69 to 2.05 in five innings.

Nice of his coach to leave him in long enough to get the win, especially considering that he was down 8-0 before his team batted in the second. Gee, what does he have to do to get yanked? Or did Jamieson have a hunch that his guys were about to score 19 runs in their next three at bats?

By the way, if the Big 12 used the Valley's run rule, it still would have been 25-10 (in seven innings).

He probably figured that being down 8-0 wasn't the best time to yank your best pitcher and let Texas eat up your bullpen for the rest of the weekend series.

It was either leave Crow in, burn your best relief pitchers trying to make an unlikely comeback and have nothing left for game 2 & 3, or pull Crow and put in crap relievers and basically concede. I think he probably made the only choice that made sense.

some of those texas relievers have outrageous ERAs.

Juston Street has got a 32.40 ERA. ungodly.

an interesting thing to think about: What would Brent say if WSU had an outing like Texas??

                i can only imagine...

I think the last time WSU came close to a game like this we were on the opposite end of the ass whooping. It was that K-State game back in 2000-2001 I believe where they scored 18 runs on us. After they got up I remember many a KSU batter getting drilled.

How does that Texas 3rd baseman go 0-5 in a game like this? Really, he must be lights out defensively...

A 9-hole hitter going hitless in a game where your team gets 12 hits is not all that hard to imagine. Odds are good that SOMEONE will go hitless.

A .416 on-base percentage, 6 sac bunts, and 17 stolen bases keep him in the lineup. It does not appear to be his defense.

You got to think the umpire had a tiny strike zone.

400-500 hundred people were probably still there at the end. It was quite a spectacle for those that were there. The wind and cold were obviously huge factors.
