Okay then I agree. You are the one that said "BCS BS" not "power conference" BS. That's why I said you can't have a BCS bias and follow college baseball, because not all power conferences are BCS conferences.
I didn't say anything about 'BCS'. Did I?

That's why I don't understand SEBaseball's predictions. That's why I don't understand how we could possibly be a NO.2 SEED in a regional... and not only that, but to be traveling to a NATIONAL SEED's regional. It makes no sense at all whatsoever. I would imagine you'd be having a chip on your shoulder too if your team was in this situation and getting the shaft.
Sorry Charlie.. this one just kinda peeves me off.
Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

Could WSU fill that 12th spot in the Big 12 and still play MVC in everything else?
Be careful what you wish for, the record of never winning less than 40 games a year could be in serious trouble it that scenario played out.
Have to disagree. Obviously we wouldn’t dominate the B12 + Rice as we would the Valley but there’s a lengthy track record of great success against B12 competition. Outstanding starting pitching all but guarantees a top half finish, which in all likelihood gets you to 40 wins. Also, I’d imagine we’d tone down the noncon portion of the schedule. I’ve always dreamed of such a scenario. IIRC, currently there are D1 schools that compete in multiple conferences within major sports…escapes me who it is.

No, you didn't, it was somebody else. Sorry about that.

I know what you mean. It's just that you guys haven't been shafted. You hosted LAST YEAR. There isn't some conspiracy against you. If you guys have the resume, you'll host.

I'm the one who said BCS BS and you are correct I was wrong to word it that way, a conference like the Big 10 is not a power conference when it comes to baseball and will probably be a one bid league this year while the Big West is a power conference, so my bad for using BCS. I guess my main gripe with this guy is the lack of respect he shows. As ShockerFever pointed out not only to not have us a a one seed, but to have us going to the #5 National Seed's regional is just complete disrespect IMO, and I realize it doesn't or shouldn't matter, it will all take care of its self and we have a half a season to prove that we are deserving of hosting, but it still pisses me off.
It will be interesting to see what Baseball America puts out, they usually do a midseason regional projection as well.
THERE ARE FLOCKS OF BIRDS AND MANY A CAT ------ BUT ONLY ONE WUSHOCK!
I think those projections overlook one thing and if WSU keeps winning, they will host because ......they can fill the seats in the stadium and that means $$ and the NCAA is not going to overlook the $$
Aaron Fitt has WSU as a 1 seed, hosting OSU, ORU and Kent State. Opposite national seed Nebraska.
I was hoping somebody would post where BA had the Shox, so thank you for that. Needless to say I like this one a lot more than the other projection. :D :D

I have no doubt that WSU would again host. Charlie is right, we have a Top 15 stadium, our track record for filling the seats during regionals is awesome and I do believe the committee will attempt to understand that we can't help what conference we are in, just as long as we take care of business in it, we will be okay.
I do like BA's regional projection. I'd love to meet up with the 'new' Midwest baseball powerhouse and regain that title.

According to cstv.com, we have the 7th best stadium...
Since this topic is kind of over I'm going to go off topic a little. :)
This is a great link, I hadn't seen this site. They have a lot of top 10 lists. One I have to disagree with is their 10 toughest college football stadiums on there and Michigan is #2? Whatever. It's known to be one of the quietest stadiums in the country (especially for it's size). And how tough could it be to play when a 1-AA team beat them there!
It's cool to see Darren McFadden's performance against LSU as the #1 individual performance of the year, and our win over LSU as the #7 upset of the year.

I would think recruiting would get that much better knowing that WSU would be playing Nebraska, Texas, A&M, Missouri, Baylor, Tech etc. every year.
Can you imagine a WSU vs. Texas conference series in May in Wichita?
Personally, I'm kinda skeptical about playing the Big 12. Too many people in this town would be willing to show up at the game in the wrong colors...
Deep in the heart of couldn't give a crap about college basketball-land and I miss the SHOX.

You talk like that is a problem only in Wichita. I was in Memphis a couple months ago, and saw more Volunteer shirts than Memphis shirts around town. I went to baseball game in Springfield last year and there were many many Shocker shirts worn, by people from SWMO. I went up to a K-State basketball game last year, early in Huggins only season, and there were a LOT of Washburn shirts there.

We already play KU, KSU, OU, and Nebraska at Eck on a regular basis and I've never seen the WSU fans come close to being outnumbered. Watching on TV the WSU fans were much louder then the K-State fans and we seemed to have more WSU fans at KU then KU did.
There is no way, what you don't realize is that when WSU goes on the road in baseball, teams from other schools are the ones saying that. What a bad, bad statement.
