    Great series win.

Once again, our relief pitching is suspect. Muncrief shouldn't pitch again this year. I'm sorry, but the kid just doesn't have it yet.

I'm glad our offense is showing up this season. It's saved us from a lot of blown leads and possible losses with our suspect middle pitching.

    Great week.

We need K-State and OU in the midweek to set us up for another big series next weekend at Creighton.

    Way ta go boys.

I'm not giving up on him yet. He has good stuff. He nibbled today and then threw a fastball right down main street. He has struck out 10 in 10.2 innings, and opponents are hitting just .238. His problem has been walks. 11 walks is ridiculous.

Great suggestion. Let's kick him off the team, as well. He is done and will never contribute.

          Did I say that?

Right now, all he is contributing is more late inning runs to tighten up the scores of our games. He's young and inexperienced right now. I realize that. I guess if we have a 18-3 lead against Indiana State in a game he can come in and pitch a few, but I've seen guys with more talent than him get the shaft after some bad outings.

As of now, Muncrief has a 10.12 ERA. He has 10.2 IP, allowing 13 runs, 10 hits, and has walked 11. I'm sorry, but the numbers just don't lie.

Let me guess, you're his dad?

I was able to catch the Sunday game at Eck. It was my first time out to the ballpark this year. Man, I miss that place (especially the old double headers on Saturday's in the outfield.)

Muncrief is a hell of a player and will figure into the future of this pitching staff greatly. hes not gonna do that by riding pine and never throwing. Beyond that hes the next in line behind conner at third and is a fine fine third baseman. hes gonna be very very good just give him a freshman season to get it all figured out. He hasnt cost us a game yet and gene wont let that happen i dont think. God i swear some of the baseball fans on here are worse then the bcs power team egomaniacs. I swear some of you are impossible to satisfy.

Good post. There was no cost to him pitching yesterday and there probably won't be in any of his future outings. Kid has lots of potential. We have to keep giving him a chance to get comfortable.

Once again some fan on the internet manages to know more about what the pitchers can do then one of the greatest pitching coaches ever. I wonder if the AD knows how much coaching genies sits in the stands at Shocker athletic events. There is a gold mine here that would lead all of our sports to national championships.

                    LOL.. forget it.

I guess I'm the only one on this board that has made a suggestion about the WSU team. Damn me to hell.

By the way, I intend to personally deliver my intentions to the coaching staff because I feel that strongly about it.

I personally have no problem with your frustrations and opinion, I'm just not sure why you felt that a guy who has struggled coming into a 9-2 game is that big of a deal. Now if he comes in tomorrow or the next night with a 1 run lead, I'll be right there with you.

Maybe I am just getting too frustrated with our relief pitching. I understand Muncrief has great potential and is obviously young and the only way to help him is by gaining experience.

I guess I went a little too far in saying 'he shouldn't pitch again this year'. It's just frustrating watching our big leads go by the wayside.

If our bullpen continues to become an issue does anyone believe we could throw Cameron Maldonado into the mix?

I think getting that extra arm back healthy could make a world of difference.

Is he hurt right now? I just thought he was redshirting....

Hurt, hopefully close to being back.

Once he is healthy, he is expected to make an impact with quality innings whether it's in mid-week starts or in middle relief. Either way, he probably helps the bullpen "problem"
