WSU didn't want him. He would have loved to go here. All four Carlson brothers signed D-1 out of Seaman. KSU didn't want his older brother and cut him. You know, the one that went to New Mexico and became a two time All-American.

      Carlson

So, Hovpen, what happened with Carlson? Did the Shocks not like his swing? Was he not a good enough "athlete"?

Sometimes I wonder if Kemnitz and JT have forgotten that they once had a dancing bear named Pat Magness who didn't look like he could complete The Eliminator (on American Gladiators) in an hour. And yet somehow, when he stepped to the plate...

Not sure. Gene is one of the last people I would talk to and I only see JT during the summer. However, they can't get them all. Another one that they should have had hit two home runs tonight.

WSU does very well with the Kansas athletes that they do get. And I mean very well.

Younger brother is at Seaman this year and signed with New Mexico.

You get some, you lose some. Remember, Carlson hit the ball that beat WSU last year in the Conference tournament.

Not sure about good enough athlete. Ben was an All-State linebacker also.

I always like to see these Kansas kids do well at the next level no matter where they play.

Well it bit us tonight. After watching him play, I see why he isn't at WSU...too bad though. He would be a very nice piece to the puzzle hitting behind Connor.

MSU has certainly proven they can hit.
