I doubt it. Bob Lutz may have at one time but his priority in life at this point seems to be his League 42 work and he is pretty tight with HCTB and the Shocker baseball program support of that league.

Actually, you appear highly qualified for a staff position at the Eagle.

That is ridiculous, please do report that, I'd hate to think they would begin to allow that around the stadium. I was disappointed at the basketball game before last they played a rap song I only know from being in Gone in 60 Seconds briefly; they bleeped most words but still let through one profane oral sex reference and I could not believe I was hearing it at a Shocker game. :(

First, you couldn't have fun with visiting center fielders.

Then your kids had to be as active as your average AARP member if they don't want to get scolded.

Next, despite the fact great baseball teams didn't have a batter's eye the game has to stop if someone is standing in front of the current one.

Finally, if you choose to spend money at the game to buy an overpriced adult beverage don't think about walking out to your seats in the outfield.

There is more.... but you get the point.

Stop ruining what made this the place to be if you want crowds to return.
I attended many games in the past and this is the reason I stopped. We had a blast on the hill. I guess we were having too much fun. And no heckling the opposing team's center fielder? That is the topper of all toppers. I knew there is no crying in baseball but no heckling? WTF

In my (limited) experience in the outfield, it seemed like the opposing outfielders knew what they were in for. Some would even have a little fun with it. Now I never sat out there for a Creighton game, and there should certainly be a line, but I don't get this move.

Forgive them. They don't have access to their safe spaces.

                    ... No really, deuces.

Seems like you need a safe space on the basketball forum, since you have an issue with anyone that posts anything that you don't agree with.

Let me say this - I don't think this is a baseball only phenomenon. Basketball game fan experience has declined or been poor as well. That's been addressed in other threads. This is an athletic department issue, not a baseball program issue.

This kind of thing has always mystified me. In other retail businesses, the merchants know that if they want to sell more of something, one good way to do it is to lower the price. That can be done in a variety of ways, incidentally: the obvious one is to reduce what it costs to get in, but another approach can also be to give the buyer more for the price he pays (e.g., free run of the stands, the hill, the bleachers, etc.)

WSU baseball needs to rebuild its fan base. Improving the product will help, and maybe that will occur this year, finally; one can only hope. But improving the fan experience is another good idea, whether it's by making it cheaper to attend -- it can't cost that much more to put on a game for 6000 than for 2500, so why not, considering that 6000 cheaper tickets probably generate more revenue that 2500 more expensive ones, which is the whole behind putting things on sale -- or by giving the fans more flexibility once they do show up. I can understand beer restrictions if there's some sort of legal issue (and in Kansas, when ISN'T there some sort of legal issue associated with beer or alcohol?) But some of this stuff is just bureaucratic, officious foolishness that needs to be rooted out ASAP.

Yep! I drop a lot of F bombs and my ears were on fire after taking a leak.

Exactly - my favorite memories are from the players that acknowledged our efforts. Once they participated just a bit we became their biggest fans.

Does anybody else remember Mike Jones from ASU (I think)? He came out after a few innings and had his back-up bring us a signed ball.

I swear the safe space police got their start on the hill!
