I believe this season is the fourth of a seven-year contract, so there are three more after this one. Your point remains though that something will need to happen soon...either an extension or a dismissal. I am hoping for the first option but know that there needs to be drastic improvement this season.

My bad, you are correct @wushock: (I guess it just seems like it has been 4 years already). Considering that is the situation a 5th year seems pretty likely absent a disaster of a season this year. Not sure what kind of appetite or ability ADDB has to pull the trigger on a $1 million buyout of HCTB at the end of this season. However, if things don't improve significantly this year and next ADDB will be pretty much compelled to make a change if at all possible. Hiring HCTB maybe wasn't the dumbest thing that was done but not giving yourself a reasonable way to get out if it didn't work out was a major blunder IMHO. That's not necessarily ADDB's doing I don't think although I have no idea what his role was, if any, in the hiring and contract negotiations with HCTB. However, we do know where the buck stopped.

I wouldn't say it is must hear radio. Some will like it. Some won't. One of the more interesting things was a comment that he was concerned last year that Alec Bohm my not return this year. Although he didn't delve into it much. Just said his communication with Alec (and others) seems to be much better this year. I really don't know what to read into that.

Some of the stuff on Coach Steele's approach was pretty interesting as well.

Encouraged or relieved? I'm not sure yet. Glad they're winning games for sure. Love what Steele has done with the staff. Not sure we have that much talent tho.

Pretty sure there's a different mindset in the dugout. Worried it might be fragile and change when, inevitably, things don't go as well as the 1st 2 weeks.

But we're about 10% through the schedule and can't be better. Gotta beat down UNO then it's 7 big games. Where are the expectations now haha? Think I'd take 4-3 right now. Know I would.

Anyone hear anything on Segal? Think he's the difference maker for this team. If he can pitch I think these guys win the Valley. Might anyway. Love being excited about baseball again!!!!!!
