A two-out hit at that. Tim may get a chance to go 6.

Most of Tim's misses since the 1st inning have been on the low side.

The comeback from a rocky start is a great sign and should be a big confidence builder for Tim.

Bottom of half of the line-up strikes again.

Big Clint with a RBI double to score Josh who had walked.

Logan Hoch on in relief of Tim Kelley. Very nice job by Tim after a shaky start. I thought we might be scrambling with our pitching tonight the way Tim started but he showed good presence by coming back with 4 very solid innings.

Logan Hoch has struck out 3 in the 7th but has runners on 1st and 2nd with 2 outs.

                Tying run at the plate.

                    Stat padding.

Is this like intentionally missing a shot and tipping in the rebound?

Tyler Fleming on in relief with 2 outs and nobody on in the bottom of the 8th.

Logan Hoch with a very solid 2.2 innins of scoreless relief.

Tyler Fleming strikes out the side in the 9th to close out a solid 7-3 win by the Shocks.

Players of the Game IMHO = Tim Kelley, Logan Hoch and Tyler Fleming combining on a 5 hitter, 14 K's, 0 BB's and 1 HBP shutting out the Jayhawks over the final 8.1 innings.

                          :goshocks:

KU is not a world-beating team, but this was a very good sign from the midweek pitching staff.

                              14 K's, 5 hits, 0BB, 1HBP, 3 semi-earned runs.

Sure was. Let's see what the next level of arms can do for us against a better ORU team tomorrow night.

Hopefully, it will be a little bit warmer.

Shockers struck out 11 times themselves tonight and we let a couple of great scoring opportunites go by the board, so there are things for Gene to use to get the attention of the offense.
