Ugh! I was afraid of this type of mid-week pitching. Looks like the offense is going to have to bail us out. It's going to be too much to ask to have the offense win these mid-week games for us.

Speaking of pitching, a KU recruit nailed 17K's tonight and threw a no hitter. In 11 innings, Lee Ridenhour now has struck out 27 hitters. And he is from Kansas.

Kelly's stuff is plenty good, he just needs to learn to pitch and develop a little more command of his pitches.

Shocks rally for 3 to tie it up.

Now we need Tim to hold the fort for 2 or 3 innings.

What Kansas high school coach is allowing one of their players to pitch 11 innings?

Tim with a new lease after the Shocks tie the game pitches a strong 3rd inning against the top of KU's order.

              3-3 after three.

I think he may be saying he struck out 17 in a no-hitter (probably 7 innings) and on the year he has struck out 27 in 11 innins of work.

Just my interpretation of what would make sense. Although Tyson Fuggett's high school coach apparently abused him pretty good.

Tim dealing like a pitcher now. He just needs to eliminate those two or three mental lapses a game that he tends to have.

His runs were also unearned. Time for the bats to get going with two on and none out

On paper only, a bad hop single ruled an error on Josh, a two-out single up the middle for an RBI and followed by a two-run homer.

KWj, Jones, Dirks all reach to load 'em up with nobody out.

Gillaspie grounds out to first, scoring 1 to take first lead at 4-3 in the 5th.

Coleman strikes out. Weber strikes out. Hope this one doesn't bite us.

Dusty strikes out. Can T-Web pick him up with 2 outs.

Shocks do take a 4-3 lead but we have had two great opportunities that we have not taken full advantage of.

Bottom of the lineup (T-Hill and K-Will) doing well.

Kelley gives up a hit in the 5th, but nothing more. He has really settled into a nice groove here.
