Point and case - he is also not Hayes. You may say "Why on Earth is he still putting him in?" Well, who is Butler to know which John Hayes is going to show up? He was nails last night.

This is vs. Bradley. Don't kid yourself.

I'm not going to tip anything to anyone. There isn't enough talent or coaching intelligence to put a competitive team on the field.

Were you paying attention to last weekend?

Dood - sometimes even a blind squirrel finds a nut. Have you been paying attention every other weekend?

I know there aren't a lot of great options down in that bullpen (also the coaches fault), but come on.

I sympathize with you about giving credit where it's due, SPE -- the otehr guys are trying to win, too.

But unfortunately, as far as Hayes is concerned, there are a lot more bad John Hayeses in the pen than there are good ones. Some of those incaranations aren't even on our side, as best I can tell. And it's frequently tough to find one of the good ones, especially with the game on the line.

Shox up 6-4 in b6 after trailing 4-0 for most of the afternoon. Hopefully the bullpen holds on.

Hayes is a gas can on the mound

Good thing we pinch hit for the only hot hitter in the lineup with a dude hitting like .100 over the past 6 weeks.

                        Seriously. This is criminal.

I'm actually beginning to wonder if Butler is trying to hang this season on the bullpen so he can scapegoat Kemnitz at the end of the year. The late-game managerial decisions are beyond pathetic.

Think about it. You can get fired and sit on your ass and get paid. Or you can come back and coach to no one in the stands, listen to critics berate you and inflict more misery upon yourself and the program.

Why else would you pitch Hayes? There is no other explanation.

Shox tie it because Bradley is also horrible at baseball.
