Bradley is an interesting team this year. They have only played 29 games so far and are 16-13 (14-13 against D1). They have only played 5 homes games, 14 away games and 10 at neutral sites. The Braves are 12-3 at home and neutral sites and 4-10 in road games. They are 2-0 versus top 50 RPI, 3-6 versus RPI 51-100, 1-2 versus RPI 101-200, but only 8-5 against 200+. The Braves have played the same MVC schedule as the Shockers going 1-1 against MSU and 1-2 at Evansville.
BU is hitting .282 in 998 ABs with a 3.96 ERA and fielding .969. They have hit 69 2b, 12 3b, and 13 HRs with 114 BB, 249 SOs and hit into 13 double plays. They have stolen 25 bases in 35 attempts.
By comparison the Shockers have played 37 games and are hitting .274 in 1237 ABs with a 6.11 ERA and fielding .968. We have hit 69 2b, 9 3b, and 19 HRs with 188 BB, 294 SOs and hit into 27 double plays. We have stolen 31 of 41 bases.
Offensively the Braves don’t have any numbers that stand out other than their top three hitters have as many walks and hbp as they do strike outs (54 walks and HBP and 50 SOs). Top hitters listed below:
BU has solid starting pitching and very good relief pitchers. I haven’t seen any announcements on the rotation but am guessing below. The third starert is a total guess, Brent Stong started game 3 against EU and has great numbers in 2 starts this year.
Jr RHP Matt Dennis (5-2, 4.56, 49.1 ip, 47 h, 18 bb, 51 so)
RSr LHP Cameron Roegner (4-3, 3.40, 50.1 ip, 44 h, 7 bb, 38 so)
Sr LHP Brent Stong (1-0, 0.93, 19.2 ip, 12 h, 5 bb, 20 so)

In summary this is a series we need to win at home but it all depends which team shows up. Should be better weather this weekend, hopefully we get some fans out for the games.
