Double by Jenista followed by a triple from Tinkham puts the Shox up 1-0 in the 1st.

          Ritter singles.
          Rader doubles. 3-0.
          Bohm singles. 4-0.

If we steal a game this weekend I'll say there are signs of life.

Meh. Who knows. The lineup at this point is somewhat encouraging. All 9 guys are between .267 and .313. With what I would probably pick out as the best hitter having the .267. That's encouraging. No world-beaters, but that could be a pretty grinding lineup to face.

Unfortunately they have just WAY too many non-competitive ABs and strikeouts, especially against anyone with an ERA below 7.

Not sure I would be blowing up the lineup just yet in a midweek game with our pitching staff. Also, I get that running up scores isn't cool, but if you want to get good you need to settle on a pretty consistent lineup. Nothing wrong with building a little confidence in that lineup of a .333 ball club.

Seriously. Why Eaton? Now 3/28 with 14 strikeouts.

9 consecutive 2-out hits scoring 7 runs is impressive against just about any D-1 competition. Especially considering the 100's of games that some of even our best Shocker teams have played against Non-D1 and NAIA competition over the years and never achieved such a thing. Talk about keeping the line moving -- Wow!

Yeah we are extremely unlikely to ever see anything like that again and perhaps it is somewhat of a fluke but if we are going pick on the guys for poor play we certainly should give then an atta boy when they do good things. And this wasn't just good, it was special good.

Atta boy Shocks! Now please keep your foot on these guys throat.
