It is encouraging to see some fight in this team. Hopefully we can finish this off in style and roll into the weekend with a little momentum - we're going to need any extra little edge we can get against TCU.

Has Tanner Kirk ever homered in back-to-back games as a Shocker? I highly doubt it since his career home run total coming into this 2-game series with SFA was a grand total of 2.

Heuer gives up just a solo bomb to lower his ERA to 14.09.

Shocks win 12-4 to complete the mid-week sweep.

John Hayes had a couple good innings of scoreless relief, recording 3 Ks and 0 BBs. The absence of walks was good to see.

          Tall task ahead this weekend.

            Shocks 12 - SFA 4.

It was good to see the Shocks win two games that they should win. It probably isn't reasonable to expect the Shockers to win one from TCU this weekend but if they can at least be competitive in a couple of those games then at least they may be on track to be competitive in the Valley.

Good job shocks! If im going to be negative when you lose i habe to give kudos when its due. Nice to see them get the midweek sweep. Who knows if this means anything, but heres to hoping that we can get on a roll.

Nice to see some good pitching numbers in the midweek. That's encouraging, as SFA seemed to be a decent hitting ball club.

I've given up building expectations on this team based on a win or two, as that has continually turned into fools gold. But I'll definitely enjoy the wins!

Our RPI has limped up to 201 from 227 at the start of the week. SFA's stands at 86.

Easily our best performance in consecutive games this year. Here's hoping Schwanke has a herculean effort in store for Friday night.

This weekend is gonna be especially brutal since there's people that are getting false hope after a midweek series against Stephen F. Austin.

It's ok though. It's better than feeling no hope at all.
                    Deuces Valley.
                    ... No really, deuces.

I could see this weekend being brutal but not because there is any ground swell of false hope being expressed. At least none I can detect.

IF the Shox take 2 of 3 from TCU this weekend, do you think anyone is going to have second thoughts about Butler and the potential of this team? I'm curious to see if knee jerk reactions will abound and that the belief the Shockers are on their way back will exist.

If WSU wins the Valley and makes a regional I may have second thoughts about Butler and the potential of this team.

Let's just see how the next few weeks go.

                          Go Shox.

Baseball is such a weird game. The difference between teams is actually pretty small but will get shown over the course of the long season. Like you said and taking it even further, you just have to take it...

WSU would be 11-17. I would hope there are people out there that would act rationally and not get sucked into that trap.

2 out of 3 to TCU? lol I'd say there's a better chance of Gregg Marshall taking a tour in Nashville than that happening.
