We're losing 0 - 7 in the 6th inning after giving up 6 runs in the 5th. Hooooraaaay! Have the players already shut down? Or, is UNM really that good?

I think UNM has really improved from last year and we haven't. 0 - 8 after 6. The good news is that through 6 we have only struck out 5 times and walked 6 but we only have 3 hits and 2 have been picked off.

Well we started hitting the crap out of the ball in the 7th, 8th, and 9th and finished with 11 hits but it was too little, too late. Lost 4 - 8. 4th straight loss, now 2-4 on the young season.

Two wins against a borderline D1 program who is 1-6 on the season. Yippeeee!

Sounds like our 15-16 basketball program... Only this time we can't use injury as an excuse.

Down 4-0 today in the 3rd. I have no words, at this point.

I watched the implosion in the 2nd inning on Friday and I have watched so far today. How exactly are we as fans expected to support this? I have seen nothing to think this team is going to battle.

And a perfect example was that AB by Eaton. Did. Not. Compete.

I read Hooper's wife and kids are staying in Wichita, and he plans to spend 10 days a month here.

                        Just sayin'.

This thing has turned into an embarrassment. Top to bottom, those eager to get rid of Stephenson are probably getting what they asked for. Pretty difficult to argue at this point that Gene Stephenson was and is WSU baseball.

Is there a single player on this team with:

                          Average baseball IQ?

                          Average defensive ability?

                          Average off-speed pitch recognition?

                          Average strike-throwing ability?

I was going to ask this question a couple days ago with 'average' replaced with 'plus', but thought I should maybe revise my questions to be more realistic.

I couldn't agree more. Gene was, is, and always will be, WSU baseball. Those that wanted Gene gone, don't know baseball. He built Shocker baseball from nothing and should have been allowed to coach this team as long as he wanted to. Stephenson was the heart and soul of this program and the way that he was run out was unacceptable. I think this is just a bit of Karma coming back to bite us now.

Stephenson had to go...period. It was a sinking ship. Butler doesn't appear to be the answer, but just because he sucks doesn't validate the idea to keep Stephenson. That is just ridiculous.

The level of dumb on this team is unparalleled.
