  • Dusty Coleman Called Up To The Show!

Unfortunately, doesn't start his career off the way anyone would have hoped for.

          Twitter is all over him.

I feel for him and his young family.

Hey, Royals are 1-0 with Dusty on the roster!

Also, broke their 4-game losing streak!

He looked painfully over matched. Still too much of a deer in the headlights look.

Didn't see last night. That's too bad. He has definitely not appeared ready for primetime.

He's getting what, one AB a week? And this was only his 2nd AB in the majors?

There's no hope to make the adjustment from AAA to the bigs without consistent at-bats. He's not on the team to come up with a big pinch-hit. He's a defensive replacement. Yost used up his legitimate pinch-hit options earlier in the game.

So yes, of course he looked over-matched against the closer for the team with the best record in baseball.

                            5 AB's 3 K's

Dying for him to succeed but this is the Royals. He is 28 and this is his shot. Hope he gets a few more AB's. Gotta be ready.

Still, one game's worth of at-bats over three weeks isn't enough to acclimate to big-league pitching.
