I'll be cheering on SIU to beat MoST...but not good that we are in MoSt bracket.

Shocks ended up in a tie with Bradley for 3rd place but will be the #4 seed in the Valley tournament which unfortunately puts them in Missouri State's bracket. MSU looks to me to be the cream of the Valley this year although DBU is very good as well.

The Shocks open up against #5 seed Illinois State.

I just don't think the Shocks have the pitching to make a run at the Valley tournament championship. I think 2-2 is about as good as I would expect and that assumes we win the 1st game against Illinois State.

The fact that our RPI has climbed to 111 as of this morning is fairly remarkable considering 5 weeks ago it sat at 189 with a projected finish of 192. Here's to finishing on a high note this weekend (or better yet, prolonging the finish until a future weekend).

Basically any scenario in which WSU goes at least 2-2 in the tourney this weekend, and I feel pretty decent about where this season went compared to where it started. I don't know if that means we will be any good next year, but it will at least make me burn with less rage for the next 8 months.
