      True.

Maybe he'll save face by replacing PCBK this offseason.

ADES also gave BK a 7 year contract when HCTB was hired.

Didn't know about BK's 7 year contract. We are stuck with this staff for at least another 3 years, buckle up boys. We should have hired Hooper.

That would have definitely been a popular pick.

I think we all agree what ADES did with HCGM was a "grand slam", if you will. The start of HCTB era is starting off like a GIDP. Hopefully they can put together a two-out rally.

did we ever determine if Hoope has a bachelors? If he doesn't isn't this a moot question?

We could send Hoop to NC in fall and he could finish up in one semester even if he needs 48 hours :) Actually I think we determined Hoop finished he Bachelors.

Any chance PCBK gets let go at the end of this season or perhaps next (2016)? I figure HCTB has his full contract duration unless some booster is willing to pony up a buyout, which I think is unlikely with the success and financial focus of basketball. If this is the case, some change will have to occur and I see this as the most likely course as well as the path of least resistance. Any other thoughts?

Did anyone determine whether HCTB recruited the pitchers or did BK? That would be big as to the effectiveness of letting BK go or just making things worse. During GS's downward spiral over 8-12 years, BK seemed to continue to bring in very good pitching staffs until the increasing lack of offense slowed that down as well. Never could understand the problem in bringing in good numbers of quality hitters while the Shocks had those pitching staffs. If I remember right, most of those years, our pitching staff was still rated in the top 25%, if not top 10% of college baseball, while our offensive numbers dropped to around 50%.

@ShockTalk: you are correct, the recruiting is essential and if HCTB has removed one of the best pitching coach in the college ball something is amiss. I asked the same question earlier I asked the same question earlier in this thread to which no one replied. I should cowboy up and ask during a coach's show, but will not be able to ask for a two weeks as I will be out of town.

                                Brian Walker calls them.

Since Todd Butler took over, he's been hammering home the fact that he wants power arms in his program. This may have been quite a change for Brent, who always excelled at finding guys with good control and using that as the building block as opposed to using velocity and hard throwing as the building block. I don't think we would see crafty, control-oriented players like Noah Booth under the Butler regime.
